Carl Edward "Eddy" Kinder, Jr. was born to Carl Edward and Martha Rae (Black) Kinder on July 1, 1958 at Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on February 12, 2013 at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 11 days. Eddy grew up at Temple through the 9th grade before moving to Radcliff, KY, where he graduated from high school. He soon returned to Oklahoma and attended Cameron University and Oklahoma State University. He worked as a specialty welder for 25 years then, after extensive training, became a welding inspector 8 ½ years ago. He married Shirley Jeanne Harlan on December 19, 1991 at Wichita Falls, Tx and they have made their home in Temple. Through the years he worked for JV Piping Industries and various other employers, working the past 3 years with SCR (Strategic Contract Resources). He was a member of the Church of Christ in Temple. He enjoyed kayaking, riding his BMW motorcycle, watching football. Eddy loved watching his sons play sports, spending time with family and friends, and nothing brought him more joy than his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Kinder and his brother, Kent Kinder. Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; his mother and step dad, Martha Rae and Joe Knox of Decatur, TX; 4 sons and their spouses, Jon and Terri Kinder of Temple, Jeremy and Katy Kinder of Granite, OK, Andrew Pulis and fiancé Holly Fletcher of Walters, Logan and Kassi Pulis of Geronimo, OK; a daughter, Crissi Pulis of Walters; a step brother, Dennis Joe Knox and wife Michelle of Medicine Park, OK; a step sister, Teresa Knox of Temple; 8 grandchildren, Trevin, Teryn, Taygen Rae, Sky'Lynn, Shaylie, Kyle Weston, Londyn Zai, Trypp Rush and a granddaughter, Lyla, on the way; other relatives and many friends.
