Lauretta Burton Reynolds, 88, of Marlow, died Saturday, January 26th, 2013, in Duncan, OK. She was born March 10th, 1924, in Temple, Oklahoma the daughter of William Lafayette Burton and Vela Ina (Lewis) Burton. Lauretta graduated from Temple High School, and attended The Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma. On April 23rd, 1943 she was united in marriage to John Phillips Reynolds. Lauretta worked at Walters High School in the library and later on worked with her husband to launch a bank start up, Citizen's Bank in Velma, Oklahoma. She enjoyed crafts, painting, reading, sewing costumes for her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, William R. (Bill) Reynolds, his wife Bonnie Barton Reynolds of Marlow, Oklahoma, Phil Reynolds, his wife Susan Reynolds of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Justin R. Reynolds, his wife Karen, of Denton, Texas, Jordan (Reynolds) Phelps, her husband J'Bob of Norman Oklahoma, John Phillips Reynolds II, his wife Tiffany of Houston, Texas, James Edward Reynolds, his wife Meagan of Dallas, Texas, and Matthew Reynolds, of Houston, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Talynn, Sean, Kara, Brittani, Shiloh and Harper; two brothers, Lewis Burton of Dallas, Texas, and Gail Burton of Bentonville, Arkansas. A family visitation will be held on Friday, February 8th, 7pm to 8pm at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, Marlow, Oklahoma. A private family graveside service will be held February 9th, at 9am at the Walters Cemetery. A memorial service for both family and friends will be held in the Chapel at First Baptist Church Marlow, Oklahoma, Saturday, February 9th, at 11am. Dr. Ed Sasnett, of Norman, Oklahoma, will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
