Wilton Eudell Hood was born to Lesley and Mamie (Brewer) Hood on December 17, 1933 at Levelland, TX and departed this life in Duncan, OK on December 28, 2012 at the age of 79 years and 11 days. Eudell grew up at Levelland, TX, in his mom's café, graduating from LHS 1952. He entered the U.S. Army, coming out for a brief time to help his mom then re-entering. He married Latrell Cordray on September 1, 1965 at Levelland. Eudell retired in 1980 after 23 years of honorable service to his country. He immediately went to work for Texas DOT, making their home in Cleburne, TX. Upon this retirement in 1995 the couple moved to Hastings, OK to be near her family. Latrell passed away on March 28, 2001. He later married Glenda Muncrief on August 10, 2002 at Sugden, OK. Eudell was an active member of Hastings Baptist Church serving as Sunday School Director and Teacher. He enjoyed watching Westerns, the Dallas Cowboys and other sports, and fellowshipping at the Senior Citizens Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Latrell; and a brother, Lesley "Sonny" Hood. Survivors include his wife, Glenda, of the home; a daughter, Suzanne Scott and husband Rick of Hastings; a son, Robert "Robin" Hood of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter by marriage, LaCretia Barrett and husband Jason of Duncan; grandchildren and spouses, Allison Herrera and Jesse, Jordan Hood and Ashlie all of Hobbs, NM, Chapel Deaton and Reg of San Antonio, Cara Chitwood of Comanche, Sage Bryant and Clyde of Waurika; 7 great grandchildren, Saria, Abraham, Grace, Kayle, Skylar, Ty and Blaze; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
