Clinton Theodore Jones was born to Clint and Lela (Benson) Jones on June 2, 1918, west of Temple, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on December 17, 2012 at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 15 days. Theodore grew up northeast of Temple, attending Donley School. He married Maedell Brown on October 9, 1937 and to the union 5 children were born. Theodore was a farmer, Deputy Sheriff for Cotton County and served as Commissioner for the county as well. He was a lifelong hunter and fisherman, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maedell; a son, Robert Jones; a grandson, Clint Jones; 2 brothers, Haskell and Vernon Jones. Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Dorothy Jones of Walters, Dennis and Carolyn Jones of Lakeside, AZ; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Theda and Earl Cagle of Seward, AK, Bonita and Billy Harrel of Marlow, OK; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
