Lynda Ann Martin

Lynda Ann (Templeton) Martin was born to John Andrew and Martha Ann (McClendon) Templeton on October 7, 1938 at Hollis, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on November 19, 2012 at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 12 days. Lynda grew up in the Hollis, OK area, graduating from Ron High School in 1956. She went on to receive her Bachelor's degree from Southwestern and later received a Master's of Education. She married Bobby Lee Martin in Hollis, OK on April 12, 1963. She taught English for many years beginning in Colorado Springs,CO, then onto Altus, OK, Lancing, MI, Los Angeles, CA, Walters, OK and Temple, OK. Upon retirement they made their home in Lawton. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Lawton. She enjoyed talking and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee; her parents; her sister, Pansy Oneta Chubb; and a brother, R.H. Templeton. Survivors include a son, Drew Martin of Broken Arrow, OK; a daughter, Lee Ann Martin of Lawton, OK; and a granddaughter, Lauren Martin of Broken Arrow; other relatives and many friends.
