Marianne McCluskey

November 15, 1930 — November 7, 2012

Marianne (Baker) McCluskey was born to Joseph Oliver and Edith Mae (Hunt) Baker on November 15, 1930 at Hastings, OK and departed this life in Dallas, TX on November 7, 2012 at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 23 days. Marianne grew up at Temple, graduating from THS. She soon married Glen Hugh McCluskey on August 20, 1948 at Burkburnett, TX and to the union three sons were born. They made their home in the Taylor community east of Randlett, OK until moving just east of Cache Creek in 1961 and on into Temple in 1972. Marianne managed the Farmers Coop Gin in Temple for 10 years and then worked 15 years at the ASCS office in Walters. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed raising her boys and was a good seamstress. She loved fishing, gardening and enjoyed visiting relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Stanley Baker. Survivors include her husband, Glen McCluskey of the home; 3 sons, Richard and Sharon McCluskey of Burkburnett, TX, Pat A. McCluskey of Douglass, KS and Bob and Gail McCluskey of Idalou, TX; 3 sisters, Jeanne Sparkman of Amarillo, TX, Elizabeth Dilks of Temple, OK and Barbara Jo Hooper and husband, Billy Don of Canyon Lake, TX; 7 grandchildren, Shannon and Alisha McCluskey, Laura and Chris Mitchell, Justin, Michael, Roger, Joel and Clinton McCluskey; 6 great grandchildren, Brianna, Colby and Taylor McCluskey, Meredith and Owen Mitchell, Easton McCluskey; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
