Mary Lou Smith

Mary Lou (Smart) Smith was born to William Bryan and Willa Texas (Mims) Smart on August 30, 1927 near Walters, OK and departed this life in Yukon, OK on September 12, 2012 at the age of 85 years and 13 days. Mary Lou grew up at Walters. She married Derral Edwin Smith on May 29, 1947 at Walters where they made their home until Derral job required them to make many moves in the oilfields of Oklahoma. She too worked in the oil industry as a bookkeeper. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1985. Mary Lou was a member of United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd, Yukon, OK. She enjoyed moving and decorating her homes. She was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Richard Mason of Mustang, OK; a son and daughter-in-law, Derral Dean and Susie Smith of McAlister, OK; 5 grandchildren, Bryant Mason and Todd Mason both of Mustang, Katie Dye and husband Dustin of Owasso, OK, Lorie Springer and husband Rusty of Joshua, TX, Loy Smith and wife Carissa of Harrah, OK; 10 great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
