Louis Dwaine Collier was born to Louis Lee and Mattie Bell (Meaders) Colyer on July 17, 1938 at Grandfield, OK and departed this life at his home northeast of Temple, OK on September 6, 2012 at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 20 days. Dwaine grew up at Temple graduating from THS in 1957. He soon joined the U.S. Navy serving his country honorably. While in Millington, TN, he met and later married Wanda Jean Byars on August 4, 1962 at Memphis, TN. They moved to California and then Florida before leaving the Navy and settling back in Tennessee. He worked 27 years as a mount mechanic for the Memphis Lamp Plant (GE). He retired and they moved back to the family farm near Temple in 1997. Dwaine enjoyed working on cars, making knives and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert Colyer in 2006. Survivors include his wife, Wanda, of the home; 2 sons, William David of Olive Branch, MS and Christopher Dwaine of Brownsbury, IN; 5 grandchildren, Megan, Roger, Catilyn, Paige and Christa; 2 step grandsons, Michael and Matthew; 2 great grandchildren, little girls Bella Louise and Ellie Grace, the joys of his life; a brother Gary Colyer of Grove, OK; 3 lovely daughters-in-law, Michelle Colyer of Memphis, Tiffany Colyer of Olive Branch and Ginger Colyer of Brownsbury; an aunt, Amy Colyer of Grandfield, OK; special friends, Willie Woffard and Baron Paul Arzola; many cousins and friends.
