Danny Ray Horschler was born to Howard and Valeria (Wood) Horschler on January 25, 1960 at Comanche, OK and departed this life in Fort Worth, TX on August 28, 2012. Danny grew up southwest of Temple, OK, on the family farm, graduating from THS in 1978. He then attended Southwestern Union College at Keene, TX, and soon returned home to his agriculture roots. On July 29, 2001, he married Stacey Jo (Holdbrook) Blades at Waurika, OK, making their home at Temple where Danny has been engaged in farming and ranching his whole life. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Wichita Falls. He had served as president of the Temple Ag Boosters Club, was a member of the Texhoma Practical Pistol Club and had served on the Cotton County Farm Bureau Board. He enjoyed shooting sports, hunting, snow skiing and water skiing. Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Exa Horschler, Roy and Esther Wood. Survivors include his wife, Stacey, of the home; his parents, Howard and Valeria Horschler of Temple, OK; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Ann and Chris Sorenson of McKinney, TX, Debby and Scott Murach of Benbrook, TX; 2 step- daughters, Libby Glynne Blades and Molley Jo Blades both of Temple; 2 nieces, Misty Akcil and husband Halil, Marena McCorbin and husband Chris all of Ft. Worth; a nephew, Robby Joel Bagwell, U.S. Navy Persian Gulf; a cousin and spouse, Howard Sr. and Diane Lewis of Piedmont, OK; other relatives and many friends.
