Francile "Mammie" (Thompson) Parker was born to Gober and Johnnie (Grubbs) Thompson on September 12, 1923 at Grandfield, OK and parted this world in Holliday, TX, on August 3, 2012 at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 22 days. She grew up in the Devol/Burkburnett area and later married Floyd "Si" Parker Jr. on July 14, 1962. To this union a daughter, LaDonna Lynn Parker, was born. Francile made her home east of Cookietown, OK, and was employed at Haggar Slacks in Temple until it closed. She loved working in the yard, planting flowers and gardening, she took great pride in her yard. She was also an animal lover and could tame any wild animal she came across, including her Racoon, "Rackey" and her wild turkey, "Turk Turk." Francile never met a stranger. She loved playing bingo and dominoes. She was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church at Cookietown. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Si; 2 brothers, Ervin and Collis Thompson; and a sister, Reba English. Survivors include her daughter, LaDonna Powers and husband Thomas Parrish of Holliday, TX; 2 grandchildren, Kody Powers and Jadan Parrish; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
