Jamie D'Wayne Rhoads

Jamie D'Wayne Rhoads was born to Clifford William and Terry Dianne (Percell) Rhoads on January 1, 1978 at Denison, TX and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on May 25, 2012 at the age of 34 years, 4 months and 24 days. Jamie grew up at Achille, OK, graduating from high school in 1996. He entered the U.S. Army serving his country honorably for 6 plus years including service in Bosnia and Korea. He married Heather Leigh Miller on July 22, 2000 at Fletcher, OK. They made their home in Lawton then on to Midwest City and have made their home in Moore for the past 7 years. After serving his country Jamie attended Cameron University, Rose State College and finished his Bachelor's Degree in English Education at the University of Central Oklahoma. He taught school at Blanchard for a year before going to work for Oklahoma State Department of Health as a CPO. He loved spending time with his kids and wife and was a good husband, father and son. Jamie was well read and used that knowledge and his sense of humor in order to find a way to bring a smile to everyone's face. He enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing, and was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Jamie was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Renee Rhoads; his maternal grandfather, Wayne Percell; his paternal grandparents, James H. and Annette Rena Rhoads; and his mother-in-law, Carla Miller. He is survived by his wife, Heather of the home; a son and daughter, Alexander William "Alex" Rhoads and Leighann Marie Rhoads both of the home; his parents, Clifford and Terry Rhoads of Denison, TX; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Percell of Bennington, OK; his brother, Kelly Gene Rhoads and wife Barbara of Ft. Worth, TX and their children, Blake and Hope Rhoads; his father-in-law, David Miller of Walters, OK; his brother-in-law, Joshua Miller and wife Jessica of Chesterfield, VA; other relative and many friends.
