Virgie Leona (Cox) Taylor was born to Romie Morgan and Charity Ethel (Haragan) Cox at Hastings, OK on April 9, 1918 and departed this life in Temple, OK on May 18, 2001, at the age of 94 years, 1 month and 9 days. Virgie grew up around Duncan, Temple and Walters. She married Floyd Marshall Taylor on May 23, 1936 at Walters. She was an artist, caregiver, homemaker and "Mom" to the whole extended family. She enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a member of the Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marshall; 3 brothers, Dean, Olen and Harold Cox; and 4 sisters, June DeSpain, Mona Taylor, Elsie Dyson and Bernice Bewley. Survivors include 2 sons, Larry H. Taylor of Temple and Floyd Taylor, Jr. of Oklahoma City; a brother Bobby Cox of Roswell, NM; a sister-in-law, Annabelle Taylor of Temple; 3 grandchildren, Troy Taylor and Lisa Taylor both of Oklahoma City and Christy Eber of New Hampshire; 3 great grandchildren, Chandler Tucker, Carli Eber and Vance Taylor; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
