Tommy Meyer

William Thomas "Tommy" Meyer was born February 18, 1965 at Clinton, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on May 1, 2012 at the age of 47 years, 2 months and 13 days. Tommy grew up at Walters and Oktaha where he graduated from Oktaha High School in 1983. He returned to Walters around 1985, going to work at Phillips 66 and then for Glendel Copeland before his employment at Cotton Electric in June of 1996. For the past 15 plus years he has worked for Cotton Electric Services, Inc. as a lab technician/dispatcher and since the year 2000 has held the title of Test Lab Foreman. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, golfing, photography, computers, watching the weather, storm chasing and astronomy. He was preceded in death by his dad, Bill Meyer and his sister, Gerri Susanne Yarbor. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Loretta and Jerry Gilliss of Oktaha, OK; 3 children, Brandon Meyer of Walters, Cindy Thompson and husband Dylan of Duncan, OK, and Christopher Meyer of Walters; 10 brothers and sisters, Kenny Meyer and wife Debbie of Walters, Kathy Ables and husband Ronnie of Walters, Danny Gilliss of Oklahoma City, Amanda Gilliss of Chicago, IL, Pam Cale and husband Chuck of Tulsa, Lynn Gilliss of Arkansas, Debbie Dunkle of Altus, Susan Schachle and husband Louis of Moore, OK, David Smith of Ft. Worth, TX and Garry Petzold of Lone Wolf, OK; other relatives and many friends.
