Jeff McLean, 64, of Lawton, OK A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Highland Cemetery, Lawton, OK, Tuesday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m., with Military Honors. SGT. Jeffrey Duncan McLean died March 29th 2012 in the home of his sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Chris Elledge. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, January 4, 1948. He is survived by his daughter Silvana McLean, granddaughter Alley Hernandez, and great granddaughter Hailey Jade. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Elledge of Lawton, Oklahoma and his brother Chris McLean of Royce City, Texas. He is preceded in death by his brother Colonel Floyd William McLean of Coumbus, Georgia, his brother Bruce McLean of Fort Worth, Texas and his parents Colonel and Mrs Floyd William McLean of Lawton, Oklahoma. Jeff was an Army Brat and grew up all over the world with his three brothers and one sister. They made their home in Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. He felt his greatest gift from God was his loving parents who provided a fun, safe home for him to grow up in. In his 64 years of life he spent every Christmas and most holidays, (except when serving overseas) with his parents and siblings. Jeff was a career soldier in the Military Police and served two tours of duty in Vietnam and two in Korea. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, Army Commendation Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal. Jeff loved his Country, was faithful to OU (whether they were winning or not) honored his parents, treasured his daughter, and believed dogs were a great addition to this life, and God had all the answers if we would be quiet and listen for them.
