Edna Ruth Rozzell was born to Allen Lee and Bertha Lee (Munshausen) Jones at Stratford, OK on September 4, 1929 and departed this life in Lawton, OK on February 21, 2012 at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 17 days. Ruth grew up in the Duncan and Velma, OK area. She married Orville Davis Rozzell on September 20, 1946 at Henrietta, TX. They made their home at Duncan until moving to Burkburnett, TX in 1966 where she operated Ruth's Coffee Shop. They moved to Nocona, TX in 1976 where they owned and operated the Ranch House Restaurant and eventually made their way to Walters around the year 2000. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and always enjoyed serving and visiting with patrons of the restaurant. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Jim Charles Rozzell; a brother Charles Johnson; and a sister, Birdie Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Orville; a son, Randy Rozzell of Lubbock, TX; a daughter, Susan Chavez and husband Jessie of Burkburnett, TX; 4 grandchildren, Randy Ray Rozzell of San Diego, CA, Bobby Rozzell of Minot, ND, Craig Bentley and Ian Bentley both of Wichita Falls, TX; 9 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
