Clint Houston "Hippie" Gower was born to Thad and Alsie Louise (Stephens) Gower on October 29, 1953 at Lawton, OK, and departed this life on January 27, 2012 at Wichita Falls, TX at the age of 58 years, 2 months and 29 days. Clint grew up at Temple, OK, graduating from THS in 1972. He married Marina Dolores Greenfield on May 26, 1972 at the First Baptist Church in Walters and they made Temple their home. Through the years he has been engaged in farming and ranching, hauling trailers for Diamond S and trucking. Clint was a picker and enjoyed collecting automobiles and coins. He also enjoyed going to the lake, skiing and driving the boat, going to the races and car cruises, going to auctions, and taking trips. He enjoyed being the bus driver for Crosswind Band and was a people person, always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He loved taking the granddaughters to feed the cattle. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Temple. Clint was preceded in death by his father, Thad and an infant brother, Houston S. Gower. Survivors include his wife, Marina of the home; a daughter, Kandi and husband Gary Clark of Wichita Falls; his mother, Louise Gower of Temple; 2 brothers, Cletus Gower and wife Jeanne, and Craig Gower all of Temple; a sister Renee Gower of Dallas, TX; 2 grandchildren, Landri and Payton Clark; Mother-in-law Nona Greenfield of Walters; a brother-in-law Stanley Greenfield of Lawton, OK; a sister-in-law Judy Evans of Omaha, NE; other relatives and many friends.
