Teresa Lynn Speir

Teresa Lynn (Gallagher) Speir was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 21, 1959 to Doris L. & William J. Gallagher and went to be with Jesus January 8, 2012 in Devol, OK. Teresa graduated from St. Frances DeSales High School, Columbus, OH, 1977. After becoming a mom, she poured every part of her heart and soul into raising her children Chris and Amanda. After marrying her soul-mate in 1999, Teresa, Richard and the children made their home just two miles south of the Devol Cemetery. Being in the country, Teresa quickly became known as the "dog lady". She enjoyed her dogs no matter what breed or how old and was quick to adopt any dog she could. Teresa's main focus in life was always her family. Whether it was cheering at a bull riding event or cheering at a basketball game people always knew when she was in the stands! Growing up with three sisters, Teresa took pride in being the rock for them all even when she didn't realize she was. She was a loving mom, sister and friend that always had a beautiful smile on her face and a positive outlook on any situation in life. She and her husband were both members of the United Methodist Church in Grandfield, OK. Teresa was employed at the Grandfield Library where she was the head librarian until 2007, Wal-Mart where she was a bakery associate until 2010 and E-Z Go where she was employed when she departed from this earth. Teresa has always been a hard worker and always succeeded at any job she had. Teresa was predeceased by her husband Richard Lynn Speir July 24, 2011 and her parents. Survivors include her two children: Christopher McCombs of Duncan, OK and Amanda McCombs of Lubbock, TX; one grandchild: Cayden McCombs of Duncan, OK; sisters: Lorraine Ocker and husband Leo Ocker of Grandfield, OK, Karen Pope of Heath, OH and Patty Brown of Newark, OH; four Brothers: William J. "Billy" Gallagher , Micheal P. Gallaher, Timothy "Timmy" Gallagher and Dennis J. Gallagher all of Ohio; nieces: Kristina Ocker and son Ryland May of Grandfield, OK and Colleen Kennedy of Newark, OH; nephews: Aaron Ocker and daughters Kimberly and Summer Ocker of OK; Chad Pope of FL, Jeremy Pope of OH, step-Son: Heath Kenyon of Grandfield, OK and Sister-in-law Peggy Jo Speir of Henrietta OK; and several family members in Ohio and numerous friends.
