Roy grew up at Randlett, graduating from Big Pasture High School and then attending Oklahoma State University receiving a BS in Animal Science. He had a 34 year career with City of Wichita Falls as the Environmental Health Coordinator. Upon retirement he opened a small business in Randlett. He married Debbie Cook Holder in June of 2004 at Clovis, NM. He was involved in law enforcement serving as a member of the Texas Ranger Division and as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Cotton County. He was also a member of the Texas Shorthorn Association and a member of the United Methodist Church of Randlett. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Debbie of the home; a daughter Renay Ressel of Midland, TX and granddaughter, Ashlynn Houston; a step-daughter, Ashley Holder of Randlett; a brother, Dennis Ressel and his wife Elizabeth of Vernon, TX; other relatives and many friends.
