Charley Leon Underwood

Charley was born April 3, 1922, at Randlett, OK to Raymond "Dutch" and Maude Underwood and was called home on January 4, 2012 from his home near Randlett. He married Nina Mae Countryman on January 30, 1946. He was a member of the Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge. He served in the Army as an MP in WWII, then worked Civil Service at Sheppard Air Force Base for twenty years. Upon retirement he spent the rest of his life as a farmer. Charley is preceded in death by his wife, Nina, the love of his life of 62 years; his parents; brothers; and sister. He is survived by his children, a daughter, Linda Morales of Randlett and a son Denzil Underwood and wife Bonnie of Louisiana; 4 grandchildren, Marcie Morgan and husband Tommy of Wichita Falls, Alan Morales of Randlett, Michael Underwood and wife Paula of Louisiana, Shane Underwood and wife Stacey of Louisiana; Eight great grandchildren, Kolten Morales, Brittany Morales, Trevor Morgan, Mariah Sanchez, Tyler Underwood, Kylie Underwood, Sarah Underwood and Abby Underwood; 1 great-great grandchild, Charley Morales. Visitation will be held at Hart-Wyatt in Walters on Friday from 6-8:00 p.m.
