Brent Dwayne Barbe was born to Wayne Roy and Gloria Joyce (Montgomery) Barbe on October 20, 1959 at Lawton, OK and departed this life in Lawton on November 15, 2011 at the age of 52 years and 26 days. Brent grew up in the Duncan and Comanche area before moving with his family to Lawton in 1968, graduating from Lawton High School in 1977. Brent began working on small engines and eventually went to work as a mechanic for Howard Smith Ford for a few years. For the past 27 years he has been employed as an auto mechanic for Dan Mullins Nissan. Through the years he has enjoyed racing, camping, fishing, coaching youth league football and lately has enjoyed just hanging out and watching football on TV. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria, in August of this year. He is survived by his father, Wayne Barbe and Maria Barron of Lawton; 5 children, Amy Barbe, Jeramie Coats, Brandon Barbe, Chase Barbe and Brice Barbe all of Lawton; his sister, Tammy Joyce Adams and husband Robert of Senoia, GA; 5 grandchildren, Marcus Brown, Maryah Brown, Jonathan Clark, Payton Barbe and Delilah Rose Barbe; other relatives and many friends.
