Geraldine Glasgow Cole was born to Robert Ross and Nellie Mae (Robison) Glasgow on December 12, 1930 at Temple, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on September 8, 2011 at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 27 days. Geraldine grew up east of Temple attending Donley School and graduated from THS in 1948. She married Johnie James Cole on August 13, 1949 at Wichita Falls, making their home at Temple. They eventually moved to Colleyville, TX and returned to Temple in 1973 before moving to Plainview, TX, where she managed a 7-Eleven. They returned to Temple in 1979 and she worked for Warehouse Foods and later served as sight manager for the Nutrition Center in the late 1980's and 90's. She had also been Johnie's harvest cook preparing 3 meals a day for a crew of 20 and had enjoyed traveling to New Mexico. She loved watching her grandkids and great grandkids play sports and other activities. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Temple. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Lindel and Dale Glasgow; 4 sisters, Elsie Faye Leadell, Jo Ellen Lawler, Leta Mae Thompson and Glenda Kay Thurman; and a great granddaughter, Carly Nicole Moore. Survivors include her husband Johnie of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Glendel and Janice Cole of Temple; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Johnette and Mike Ille of Duncan, OK, Terri and Roger Abbe of Temple, OK; 3 sisters, Evelyne Heath of Deming, NM, Peggy Joyce Wall and husband T.C. of Plainview, TX and Gale Morris and husband Ernest of Duncan, OK; 5 grandchildren, Jason Ille and wife JoAnn of Velma, Cory Cole of Temple, Bethany Moore and husband Jimmy of Walters, Mindy Abbe and Jonathan Abbe both of Temple; 9 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
