Cecil Roy Barnes was born to Latherial "Dick" and Ira May (Hough) Barnes on January, 11, 1949 at Comanche, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on August 31, 2011 at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 20 days. Cecil grew up southwest of Temple, OK, graduating from THS in 1967. He married Naomi Sue Long on September 17, 1971 at Grandfield, OK. They made their home at Temple for a short time before moving to the country, living in their present home since 1972. He was the manager of AMSCO Steel Products where he has been employed for the past 40 plus years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Temple where he served as an elder. He enjoyed watching TV, playing dominoes, eating and tinkering outside. He also raised parakeets for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Ira Barnes. Survivors include his wife, Sue, of the home; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Ruben Brown of Temple, OK, Carmen and Tom Percival of Walters, OK; a son and daughter-in-law, Shaun and Tasha Barnes of Wichita Falls, TX; 6 grandchildren, Craig Veach of Rush Springs, OK, Kallie Brown of Temple, OK, Noah Barnes of Wichita Falls, Ja'Rianna Brown of Temple, Tyler Percival and Madison Percival both of Comanche, OK; other relatives and many friends.
