Vick Nelson Kelly

Vick Nelson Kelley was born to James William and Jessie Edna (Veal) Kelley on May 9, 1946 at Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on July 26, 2011 at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 17 days. Vick grew up at Walters, graduating from WHS in the Class of 1964. He married Judy Merle Baker on May 22, 1964 and they were married for 44 years until her death on January 21, 2009. He worked for over 40 years in the oil and gas industry in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. He was self employed before working at PML Exploration Services, L.L.C. and Geodynamic Well Logging, Inc. retiring in 2010. Vick enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, Geology and family Genealogy. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; 2 brothers, Jimmy Dale Kelley and Eddy C. Kelley; and 2 sisters, Dana Kay (Kelley) Meyer and an infant sister Jo Nell Kelley. He is survived by 3 daughters, Laura L. Stapleton and husband Dirk of Kansas City, MO, Stephanie Kelley of Lee's Summit, MO, and Sarah E. George and husband Chad of Augusta, GA; a brother, Buddy DeWayne Kelley of Wichita Falls, TX; a granddaughter, Victoria L. Stapleton of Kansas City, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
