Doris Mae Crow

August 17, 1922 — July 1, 2011

Doris Mae Rainbolt Crow was born to John Napoleon and Mary Barton Rainbolt on August 17, 1922 in Osage, OK and departed this life in Orlando, FL on July 1, 2011 at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 14 days. Doris grew up attending Boston Pool Grade School. She graduated from Cleveland High School at Cleveland, OK and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK. She married William Holder Crow, Jr. on April 4, 1943 at Stillwater. Through the years she taught home economics in high school at Westville, OK in the early 1940's, taught 3 year olds in pre-school and was a nurse's aide. She was an active member in the Baptist Church, taught pre-school Sunday school, Women's Missionary Union, Vacation Bible School, was a church nursery worker and served on various other church committees. Doris also served as a Cub Scout Leader. She was preceded in death by her husband William Holder Crow, Jr. Survivors include her children, Dr. Karine Crow of Window Rock, AZ, Mrs. Kathleen Scott and husband Alexander Perry Scott of Houston, TX, Dr. William Thomas and wife Janet Rachel Butler Crow of Orlando, FL and Mr. John Crawford Crow of Houston, TX; a granddaughter, Rachel Corinne Crow Ryan and husband Arthur Scott Ryan; a great granddaughter Lillyan Grace Ryan; many other relatives and a host of friends.
