Andy C. Suson was born to Andy A. and Mary Helen (Paylor) Suson October 20, 1941, in Arcadia, Fl. And departed this life May 21, 2011, at his home in Walters, OK at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 1day. Andy graduated from Walters High School in 1960. He attended Cameron College, graduating there in 1962. He joined the Air Force in 1962 and was stationed at Ft. Mead, Maryland where he served as a linguist. He spoke Russian and Spanish fluently, After his military service he returned to college and earned his Master's Degree + in Education from Indiana University and taught English for 26 years in Arizona, Colorado, and Texas, where he retired in 1996. He returned to Oklahoma in 1997 and met his wife, Kim, in 2005 and they were married in 2006. He was a member of the Walters lions Club where he served as President for 2 years, Director and Treasurer. Andy loved children and wild animals. His joys were teaching and watching wildlife. He enjoyed going to Sultan Park and the zoo. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mary Belle Piatt and Juanita Ann Quick; his brothers, Carroll Wayne Suson, David Suson, Kenny Ray Suson, and Gary Dean Suson. Survivors include his wife, Kim T. Suson of the home; 2 children, Renee Merling and husband Kirk, and Kerry Talbot Suson and wife Lori, all of Arizona; 2 step-sons, Michael McLaughlin of Lawton, OK, and Matthew McLaughlin of Walters, OK; his siblings, Dorothy Noland, Chris Dutton, Aileen Stanphill, Jerry Suson, and Gina Suson all of Walters; LaOna Gonzales and husband Gil of Waurika Lake, and Terry Gene Suson of Azle, TX.; many other relatives and friends.
