John "Jack" Musgrove, 92 of Geronimo, OK Was born April 19, 1919, near Walters, OK, to John Earnest and Grace Eliza (Howland) Musgrove and departed this life on May 14, 2011, at his home west of Geronimo, OK. Jack graduated from Walters High School in 1938 and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Walters. He worked on the farm with his mother and dad until he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corp in January 1942, where he served with the 7th Anti-Submarine Squadron out of Jacksonville, Florida. He married Marie Pearl "Sis" Brown on December 31st, 1944 at Lawton. They made their home west of Geronimo for 64 years where he farmed, worked for the City of Lawton, did construction work for Horn-Smith building roads and airport runways across the state. Jack served on the ASCS Board for 13 years, along with doing custom harvesting for 40 plus years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Marion Musgrove; 2 sisters, Bonnie Hughes and Geraldine Latson; 2 baby sisters and a great granddaughter, Jacey Musgrove. Where as his life journey has brought the benefits and blessings of a lifetime of love and devotion to those who survive him including his wife Pearl of the home; his children Shirley and husband Larry Bogges, John and wife Lenora Musgrove, Larry and wife Teresa Musgrove; two sisters, Alpha Marshall of Victorville, CA and Evelyn Thomas of Lake Havasu, AZ; grandchildren Larry Bogges, Jr., Loretta and husband Kevin Donnell, Lisa and husband Clifford Byrd, Kevin Musgrove, Derrick and wife Kristle Musgrove; 9 great grandchildren, Micha Perkins, Kallie and Krystal Bogges, Shelly and Casey Tanner, Austin and Kylie Musgrove, Larrett Donnell; 3 great-great grandchildren Alexis, Lance and Hunter Perkins; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends Paul Tanner, Jim Bob Davis and many friends and neighbors. Where upon thru these years he had joy and sorrow, success and failures, laughter and tears, dreams and ideas, a celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church on 67th and Hwy 36 south of Lawton. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, Rev. Steve Mallow and Rev. Vivian Garza officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday Evening.
