Arley James Parker was born to Luther Martin and Inez (Patrick) Parker in Austin, Arkansas on May 26, 1929 and departed this life in Lawton, Oklahoma on February 18, 2011 at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 23 days. Arley grew up in Austin, AR and joined the Military as soon as he could. He served in the WWII, Korea and Vietnam wars as a helicopter mechanic. He was stationed around the World and throughout the Country during his 23 year career. After his military career he was the station manager for Phillips 66 on I-44 and in Walters, OK. He had two children from a previous marriage before he married Wanda Lou Jarrell in Bell County, Texas on April 26, 1961. She passed away on January 25, 1987. He later married Betty Jean Spanhanks in Wichita Falls, TX on May 6, 1988. She passed away on March 18, 1991. He enjoyed going to the Casino, working on old cars and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Survivors include a son, A.J. Parker of Jacksonville, AR; 2 daughters, Joann Wilson of San Antonio, TX and Sondra and husband Ed Brush of Walters, OK; a step-son Clovis Hobgood and wife Sherrie of Walters; a step-daughter, Charity and husband Grant Kohout of Thomas, OK; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
