Sammy Leroy Durbin

Sammy Leroy Durbin was born to Fredrick Henry and Zelma Marie (Calfy) Durbin on August 5, 1931, at Walters, OK and departed this life in Waurika, OK, on February 10, 2011, at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 5 days. Sammy grew up at Walters. He has made his home a Westbrook Care Center in Waurika, OK, for many years. He enjoyed music, playing the French Harp, dancing and picking up pecans. He also enjoyed kids and visiting with his family. Sammy was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred N. Durbin; 2 sisters, Jessie May Webb Taylor and Judith Dawn Hill. Survivors include 3 brothers, Walton Allen Durbin and Larry Gene Durbin both of Temple, OK, Terry Joe Durbin and wife Linda of Walters; 3 sisters, Rose Ellen Latschar, Mollie Ann Womack and Carmen Marie Cable all of Cache, OK; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
