Mina Robertson Taylor was born to Lloyd Silas and Veasey Bain Robertson in Carlisle, Arkansas on August 20, 1920 and departed this life in Lawton, OK on December 29, 2010 at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 9 days. Mina grew up in Carlisle and Lonoke, Arkansas. Graduated from Carlisle High School where she excelled in the sport of basketball. She then attended Draughn's Business College in Little Rock. She worked for Social Security Administration during and after WWII. Mina married Karl A. Taylor on December 26, 1947, at family home in Lonoke, Arkansas. She moved with him to Walters and took over the business end of his farming and ranching operation. She taught Sunday School at First Methodist Church in Walters for many years. She enjoyed reading and watching football and basketball on TV. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. L.S. Robertson and her husband, Karl Taylor. Survivors her daughter, Martha Graves and husband Roland of Brownwood, TX; her son, James. L. Taylor and wife Anna of Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren Travis Taylor and wife Christine of Tulsa, Blake Taylor and wife Casey of Oklahoma City, Amanda Taylor of Grand Forks, ND, Emily Taylor of Dayton, OH, Taylor Graves of Amarillo, TX and Karlton Graves of Brownwood, TX; her brother L.B. Robertson and wife Barbara of Dallas, TX; her sister Martha Stearns and husband Darrel of Alexandria, VA; 3 nephews, a niece; other relatives and friends.
