Domingo V. Martinez was born to Bernardo and Guadalupe (Viesca) Martinez on July 30, 1933, at Derby, TX and departed this life in Desoto, TX, on October 10, 2010, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 10 days. Domingo Martinez married Maria Olga Johnston, and worked as a farmer and for Rose Construction and Whites Store before being called into the ministry in 1984. He preached in Oklahoma and Kansas before retiring in 1995 back to Chattanooga, OK. Domingo was a member of First Baptist Church, Chattanooga, OK. He enjoyed camping, and traveling. He loved God, his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Domingo Martinez Jr.; a daughter, Mary Ann Martinez; a grandson, Anselmo Martinez; a granddaughter, Jada Grace Martinez; and three brothers, Ramon, Fidel and Ismeal Martinez Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Maria Olga Martinez; 8 children, Gloria Flores of San Antonio, TX, Irma and husband Danny Borrego of Odessa, TX, Carlos Martinez of Lawton, OK, Irene and husband Tony Lopez of Lancaster, TX, Danny Martinez and wife Carolyn of Odessa, Joann and husband Mike Gardner of Bowie, TX, David Martinez and wife Sela of Carnegie, OK, and Ben Martinez and wife Amy of Cedar Hill, TX, 30 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many other relative and friends.
