Ruth Lucille Foss

Ruth Lucille (Long) Foss was born to Robert Wilson and Lydia Bell (Alsobrook) Long on December 25, 1927, at Marlow, OK and departed this life in Marlow, OK on October 6, 2010, at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 11 days. Mrs. Foss grew up east of Marlow attending Four Mile School. She married Jack Walter Foss on September 10, 1946 at Marlow and they made their home east of town where they were engaged in farming. Through the years she worked as a nurses aid for Tally Walker Hospital and Lindley Hospital, and was a first aid nurse for Halliburton. She enjoyed working in her yard and keeping it spotless. She was preceded in death her husband in 2007, her parents and 2 brothers. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Kenneth Wampler; 3 brothers, Donnie, Hoot and Walter; 4 sisters, Pink, Bootsy, Mildred and Beulah; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
