Peggy Jo Moon

Peggy Jo Moon was born to Emmett Packert and Ethel Georgie (Glascow) Haynes in Walters, OK on December 22, 1934 and departed this life in Lawton, OK on September 26, 2010 at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 4 days. Peggy grew up in Walters where she attended school. She married L D Moon in Snyder, TX on September 6, 1952. She worked for Haggar Slack Co. for 20 yrs, then for the Walters Schools and the Nutrition Center until she started a cleaning business beginning with the Cotton Electric Building. After her and L D retired they started to work for the Corps of Engineers at State parks. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Walters, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and a sister. Survivors include her husband of the home; a son and daughter in law, L D "Hoppy" Moon Jr. and Barbara of Lawton; a daughter and son in law, Laquita and David Crank of Geronimo, OK; a sister, Margie Bridges of Austin, TX; 6 grandchildren, Heath Moon and wife Summer, Jarrett Moon and wife Liz, Ashley Moon, Nick Moon, Dustin Crank and wife Kellie and Kari Adams; 9 great- grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
