Christy Carole Lewis was born to Jerald Stone and Judy McCullough in Wichita Falls, Texas on September 18, 1959 and departed this life in Lawton, Oklahoma on July 13, 2010 at the age of 50 years, 9 months and 25 days. Christy grew up in Grandfield, OK and graduated from Grandfield High School in 1977 before attending and graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1981 with a Bachelors degree in education. She married Kyle Lewis in Grandfield on December 27, 1980. She taught at Comanche Elementary for six years before teaching at Temple Schools, Temple, OK for 25 years. She retired because of her illness. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Temple where she played the piano for many years. She was the Oklahoma Education Administration (OEA) representative for Temple and 4H leader for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Boulware; sister, Julie Ann Stone; mother-in-law, Karan Lewis; niece, Shayna Potts and nephew, Dylan Lewis. Survivors include her husband, Kyle Lewis of the home; daughter and son-in-law Lindsey and Shane Calhoun of Iowa Park, TX; father, Jerald Stone and wife Leigh of Ponca City, OK; stepfather, Don Boulware of Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Andrea and husband Mike Lee of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter Raelyn Calhoun; father-in-law, Tab Lewis of Hastings, OK; brother -in-law, Breck Lewis and wife Lesa of Duncan, OK; niece, Lauren Lee; nephews, Stephen and Drew Lee and many other relatives and friends.
