Junior Leon "Jay" Head was born to Leon Jack and Modine (Gentry) Head on January 24, 1937, in Pulaski County, AR and departed this life in Lawton, OK on June 4, 2010, at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 11 days. Jay grew up in the Little Rock, Arkansas area, coming to Randlett, Oklahoma as a young teenager to live with his grandparents, Lee Fulton and Laura Head. Through the years he worked as a welder for Panhandle Steel of Wichita Falls and was also a self employed construction contractor, making his home in the Randlett and Devol area. He enjoyed playing music with his guitar and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers and sisters. Survivors include 2 sons, Michael Jay Head of Plano, TX and Robert Lionell Head of Wichita Falls, TX; 2 daughters, Linda Gail Salazar of Texas and Tracy Lynn Worthington of Lawton, OK; 2 sisters, Myrnell Boles of Randlett, OK and Nancy Rorie of Waco, TX; 8 grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
