Tommy Raleigh Gray was born to Lee Roy and Lillie Myrtle (Phillips) Gray in Cordell, Oklahoma on January 24, 1939 and departed this life in Walters, Oklahoma on May 5, 2010 at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 11 days. Tommy grew up in Cordell, OK and graduated from Cordell High School in 1957. After a couple of years in college married Anna Sue Lundy in Cordell, OK on July 29, 1961 and was drafted by the Army where he served honorably until he was discharged. He retired from 35 years of service for the USDA as a soil conservation technician. He later worked for Ducks Unlimited overseeing the construction of Hackberry Flats near Fredrick, OK and other projects. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Walters. He enjoyed quail hunting, crossword puzzles and golf as a part of the "Nooners" golf group. He coached little league baseball for over 20 years and helped build "Kidtopia" in Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Hoyt and Vollie Gray, and three sisters' Juanita Etris, Pairlee Kueffler and Fern Slovacek. Survivors include his wife Anna Sue Gray of the home, two sons; Lamar Zale Gray and wife Amy of Fletcher, OK and Thomas Robert "Robbie" Gray of Walters, a daughter; Lasca Zane Vicari of Ft. Worth, two grandsons; Garin and Kaleb Gray, many nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
