Ruth Arlene (Butler) Menz was born to Donald S. and Frieda Marie (Kuhner) Butler on April 3, 1918, at Akron, Ohio and departed this life in Burkburnett, TX on April 13, 2010, at the age of 92 years and 10 days. Ruth grew up in Ohio until the age of 13 when the family moved to the Walters, OK, area. She graduated from Walters High School and later married Bernard B. Menz on June 14, 1941. They made their home east of Randlett, OK, where they were engaged in farming and ranching for many years. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2001. Ruth has made her home in Burkburnett, TX, since the year 2002. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Walters and was active with the Senior Citizens Center in Burkburnett. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, crossword puzzles and was a good cook. She helped Bernard with the farming and ranching, and enjoyed riding horses in her younger years. Survivors include several nieces and cousins, to include, Carolyn Wickwire and Kay McCall both of Lawton, OK, Pat Parsons of Walters, OK and Marilyn Mayer of Dallas, TX; other relatives and many friends.
