Dorothy Lee Biilen

Dorothy Lee Billen was born to John Lee and Bertha Irene (Bramlet) Cranford in Ardmore, Oklahoma on October 8, 1923 and departed this life in Walters, OK on April 2, 2010 at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 24 days. Dorothy grew up and attended school in Ardmore, OK until her senior year of High School when her family moved to Walters, OK. She graduated from Walters in 1942. She was baptized in the First Baptist Church, Walters in 1942. On January 10, 1949 she married Xavier Henry Billen in Sherman, Texas and they made Walters their home. She was a homemaker and nurses aide until opening her own upholstery business in Walters. Dorothy took pride in her yard and won the Dalia Club's yard of the month several times, and took care of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son; Henry Nick Billen II, three brothers; Mason, J.R. and Earby Cranford and two brothers-in-law; Elvis Billen and V.P. Vardell. Survivors include a son; Paris Xavier Billen and wife Vicky of Walters, three daughters; Lina Georgene DeVine of Austin, TX, Maria Pauline and husband Danny Trichell of Iowa Park, TX, and Margaret Ann Walters of Walters, a daughter-in-law; Peggy Billen of Arkansas, 18 grandchildren; Adam Billen, David Billen, Joe Billen, Nichole Schreiber, Bambi Bright, Amber Billen, John Paul Billen, Aaron Billen, Jake Walters, Seth Walters, Kenzie Walters, Tauwlee Trichell, Donna DeVine, Pam Underwood, John Trichell, Tracy Garrison, Trina Rezac and Travis Garrison, 19 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Everett Cranford of Grandview, TX and Charles Cranford and wife Donna of Haslett, TX, three sisters; Cora Mae and husband Paul Billen of Lawton, OK, Evelyn Jane and husband Irvin Schell of Walters and Bevelyin and husband Charles Meyer of Temple, Ok, a sister-in-law; LaDonna Vardell and many other relatives and friends.
