Max Alvie Anderson was born to Alvie L. and Neva N. Anderson in Randlett, OK, March 5, 1938 and departed this life in Comanche, OK on March 15, 2010 at the age of 72 years and 10 days. Max grew up in Cookietown, OK and graduated from Union Valley High School in 1956 then went to Cameron College on a basketball scholarship. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He then went to work for the Wichita Falls Police Department in 1959, eventually accepting a position with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections at Duncan, OK, in 1969 making his home at Empire, OK. Through the years he worked in probation and parole, counseling and was district supervisor for 19 counties, retiring in 1980. He married Diana Sue Davis in Marlow, OK on April 26, 1989, and they have made their home at the Waurika Lake for the past 23 years. He was a member of Hastings Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, family gatherings, spending time with the grandkids and attending their sports activities. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Travis Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Joann Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Sue Anderson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Anderson and Beverly of Walters and Bob Anderson and Vicki of Marlow, OK; two step-daughters, Loretta and husband Mike Sinclair of Van Buren, Arkansas, Gayla and husband Russell Blizzard of Van Buren, AR; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin Anderson and Ruth, Doyle Gene Anderson and Cleta Faye all of Wichita Falls; a sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Larry Martin of Duncan; a sister-in-law, Velda Anderson of Cookietown; six grandkids, Ashlee Anderson, Lindsey Adkins, Lauren Anderson, Chance Anderson, Trey Anderson and Mark Sinclair; three great grandkids, Conner Sinclair, Sophie Sinclair and Jack Cleve Anderson; many other relatives and friends.
