Mary Helen "Mema" Hoggatt was born to General Adron and Shannon May (Etheridge) Northcutt on March 9, 1929, at Bogata, TX and departed this at Waurika, OK on February 15, 2010, at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 29 days. Mary Helen came to Waurika, OK with her family in 1942. She married John Hoggatt Jr. on March 17, 1945 at Waurika. Upon John's return home following WWII they made their home at Hasting where they were engaged in farming for 60 plus years. She was a member of the Hastings Baptist Church for 50 plus years and was a longtime member of the Hastings Ferguson Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Johnny, Glenn and Harold; and 2 sisters, Bonnie and Ruth. Survivors include her husband John Hoggatt Jr. of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sheryl Hoggatt of Norman, OK; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Bob Davis of Okarche, OK; a brother, Hank Northcutt of Lincoln City, OR; 4 grandchildren, John David Hoggatt of Moore, OK, Chris Hoggatt of Norman, OK, Whitney Alvarez and husband Brian of Oklahoma City and Eli Davis and wife Abbie of Edmond, OK; a great grandson, Eli Garritt Davis, Jr.; other relatives and many friends.
