James C. "Jim" Chandler was born October 2, 1953, to J.C. and Mary Chandler in Walters, OK and departed this life Tuesday, January 12th in Lawton, OK, at the age of 56 years, 3 months and 10 days. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1973-1978 and was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He later opened his own upholstery shop. Jim was born again July 3rd 1989. He was a volunteer minister with the Department of Corrections for many years. He never met a person that he didn't witness to about the love of Christ. Survivors include his wife Catheryn of 19 years; two daughters, Tonya Craig of Waurika, OK, and Michelle Littlecalf of Lawton; his grandchildren, Brooke and Caleb Chandler of Waurika, Keoni, Ayiana, and Mona of Lawton, Morgan and Sierra Craig, of Waurika; three sisters, Janie Lucero and husband John of Guthrie, OK, Shirley and Ali Al-Rashed of Lawton, Bonnie Lynn and husband Nathaniel Ethridge of Lawton; three aunts and one uncle of Colorado Springs, CO; many nieces, nephews, and other close family members, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son Craig, his brother Max, parents and grandparents.
