Frankie Dee Calfy was born to Victor Lee and Zella Mae (Myers) Calfy in Walters, OK on May 19, 1935 and departed this life in Walters on December 18, 2009 at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 30 days. Frank grew up in Walters and attended Walters Public Schools before joining the U.S. Marines. He served in the Korea War before returning home to marry Norma Mae Mills on October 1, 1957 in Temple, OK. She went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2009. He worked at the Walters Lumber Yard before Co-Owning Calfy Brothers Building Center in Walters. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Walters where he was the church treasurer and on the church board for many years. He enjoyed carpendry, the outdoors and gardening. He was also a member of the Walters Lions Club for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers; John, Bill, Rex and Vic Calfy, and two sisters; Aluretta Tunnell and Zella Maye Jarrell. Survivors include two sons Keith Calfy and wife Sally of Lawton and Tim Calfy of Walters, two daughters; Delilah Joiner of Yukon, OK and Becky and husband Kenny Poindexter of Oklahoma City, a brother, Mike Calfy and wife Lena of Walters, a sister; Ila Faye Cowan of Walters, four grandchildren; Kaytie, Jacob, Liegha and Brooklyn and many other relatives and friends.
