Joseph Jackson Powell

Joseph Jackson "Jack" Powell parents were William T. and Nell Shannon Powell in Chickasha, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on October 27, 2009 at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 27 days. Jack grew up in Walters, OK where he attended school and lived his entire life. He worked for Bridwell Oil Company for over 40 yrs as an oil pumper. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Martha Myers and a niece Sarah Brooks. Survivors include a niece; Charla and husband Johnny Brown of Wichita Falls, three nephews; Randy Hughes and wife Sue of Comanche, OK, Mike Hughes of Wichita Falls, Billy Walker of Las Vegas, NV, a special great nephew; Jason Myers and many other great nieces, nephews and other family members.
