Marguerite Ann Calhoun

Marguerite Ann "Peggy" (Christian) Calhoun was born to Donald Howard and Marguerite Edell (Otterfelt) Christian on May 14, 1943, in Cleveland, OH and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on October 19, 2009, at the age of 66 years,5 months and 5 days. Marguerite grew up in the Ft. Worth, TX, area where she married Lester Lorn Calhoun, Jr. on November 11, 1962. They moved around with the military, eventually settling at Wichita Falls, TX, in 1977 where Lester was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base. Through the years she managed a Jiffy convenience store and was a bookkeeper at Clark's Department Store. Loving animals, she had worked at the Humane Society. She was a computer junky and also enjoyed cooking. Marguerite loved the holidays, especially Christmas, and was truly the glue that held the family together. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Donna Prohs. She is survived by her husband, Lester L. Calhoun, Jr. of the home; a son, Lester L. Calhoun, III and wife Rosie of Wichita Falls, TX; a daughter, Mardee Calhoun of Wichita Falls; a sister Joan Christian of Ft. Worth, TX; 2 grandchildren, Lee Post and Cameron Calhoun both of Wichita Falls; other relatives and many friends.
