Margaret Emaline Chaney was born to Donald Eastwood and Trella Della Irwin Paton in Medicine Lodge, Kansas on December 15, 1910 and departed this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 22, 2009 at the age of 98 years 9 months and 7 days. Emaline graduated from Walters High School in 1930 and became a licensed beautician. She married Orley H. Land on July 18, 1936 and they worked at the Baptist Children's Home in Oklahoma City and the Masonic Children's Home in Guthrie, OK. as a dorm mother. When he passed away on January 26, 1976 she was a "Pink Lady" volunteer at the Guthrie Hospital. She later married Harold Chaney on November 22, 1986 and they made their home in Lawton, OK, he passed away on February 24, 2002. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lawton. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents and two sisters; Stella Alice White and Donna Dee Dekis. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; Orley Don and Joyce Land of OKC, a sister and brother-in-law; LaVena and John Parrish of Walters, OK, 7 grandchildren and spouses; Sheryl and Carl Humphries of Piedmont, OK, Lorri Jo Marcellus of Amarillo, TX, Dawn and John Foy of Edmond, Leroy and Debbie Morris of Garland, TX, Jerry and Terry Morris of Rowlett, TX, Phillip and Melissa Morris of OKC, and Gary Jones of MS, 16 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
