J. D. Taylor

J.D. Taylor was born to Jeff David and Lena (Benson) Taylor on May 7, 1922, Taylor Community east of Randlett, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on September 21, 2009, at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 14 days. J.D. grew up in the Taylor Store Community, attending school at Taylor and Temple, High School. He married Helen Cooper on August 31, 1946, at Walters, OK and they have made their home at Randlett for many years. J.D. has been engaged farming his whole life and also enjoyed hunting and fishing, sports and hog shows. He was a member of Devol Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother L.B. Taylor. Survivors include his wife, Helen, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Jean Taylor of Randlett, OK; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Maranda Irwin of Guthrie, OK, Trenna and husband Jory Blagden of Mulhall, OK, Michael and wife Brenett Taylor of Randlett; 5 great-grandchildren, Loren and Connor Irwin, Kaylee and Wade Blagden and Dalton Taylor; other relatives and many friends.
