Odie Bell Courtright

Odie Bell Courtright was born to John Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Shatley) Glenn on August 26, 1922 in McAlester, Oklahoma and departed this life in Walters, OK on July 17, 2009 at the age of86 years, 10 months and 21 days. Odie grew up and attended school in McAlester, OK. She married Melton David Courtright on March 28, 1942 and they were divorced 32 years later. She was a waitress and owned and operated a restaurant in Temple, OK. She was active in the PTA in Temple while her son was growing up, coached little league baseball and was in a bowling league. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Emma Dsyka, Minnie Mitchel and Gladys Graham, and five brothers: Bill, Charlie, Clarence, Henry and Johnny Glenn. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Dennis David and Robin Courtright of Walters, two grandsons; Jason Courtright and wife Trish of Velma, OK and Brent Courtright of Walters, two great-grandsons; Blain and Roman Courtright of Velma, OK, and many other family members and friends.
