David Wayne Parks

David Wayne Parks was born to Gary James and Shirley Gene (McComber) Parks on April 25, 1968, at Lawton, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK, on April 3, 2009, at the age of 40 years, 11 months and 9 days. David grew at Walters, OK, graduating from WHS in the class of 1986. He made Walters his home working for the City of Walters and for the Cotton County Assessor. He also worked at Norman, OK for Wild West Distributing. David was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where he enjoyed playing the drums for worship and also served on the church board. Survivors include 2 daughters, Christiana of El Paso, TX and Destini of Enid, OK; his parents, Shirley and Glen Smith and Gary Parks all of Walters; his maternal grandmother, Leona McComber of Walters; 3 brothers, Gary Don Parks and wife Lori, and Kenny Smith all of Yukon, OK, Chad Parks and wife Kristi, of Perry, GA; 4 sisters, Debbie Meyer and husband Kenny, Glenda Hunt and husband Jason all of Walters, Krysti Parks of Walters, Kimberly Barnard and husband Dan of Frederick, OK; many nieces and nephews, Lantz, Logan, Lane, Camaron, Daci, Sooner, Kyla, Kale, Dara, Jase, Demi, Shynel, Kaley, Kassey, Josh and wife Carrie, Dustin and Dillon; other relatives and many friends.
