Betty Louise Calfy

Betty Louise Calfy was born to William Wesley "Bill" and Virgie May (Bridges) Glasgow on June 15, 1932, at Temple, Oklahoma and departed this life in Walters, OK, on February 14, 2009 at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 30 days. Betty grew up in Temple, OK. She married Jimmy L. "Jim" Calfy on May 7, 1950 at Henrietta, TX and made their home at Walters. Through the years she was mainly a homemaker, but was also a cook at the Walters school cafeteria and was the bookkeeper for Calfy Heat and Air. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Walters. She enjoyed manning the snow ball stand, reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with family, especially the grandkids. She and Jim enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling to Eastern Oklahoma to see the foliage. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim, in 2003; a grandson, William Victor Laughlin; 2 brothers, Ernest "Bud" Glasgow and Clarence Glasgow; and a sister, Loretta Jacobs. Survivors include 3 daughters, Glenda Brown and husband Johnnie of Duncan, Cindy Lee of Pittsburg, TX, Sandra Laughlin and husband Pete of Bossier City, LA; 3 sons, Garlen Calfy and wife Cathy of Martins Mill, TX, Steve Calfy of Walters, Clint Calfy and wife Melissa of Walters; 3 brothers, John R. Glasgow of Bowie, TX, Billy Glasgow and Jim Glasgow both of Wichita Falls, TX; a sister Margie Bellar of Bowie, TX; 17 grand children, 28 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
