Alverta Allison

Funeral Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at 9:00 a.m. the following morning, Friday, February 11 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

Alverta (Carney) Allison was born to Al Carney and Ellen Chockpoyah Carney on November 16, 1937 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Duncan, OK on February 6, 2022 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 21 days.

Alverta grew up and made her home northeast of Walters on Beaver Creek for most of her life along with some time spent in Duncan. Through the years she worked as a nurses aide, worked in the meat department at Goodners and also worked two stints at Halliburton, first as janitorial staff and later as a machinist. She was mainly just satisfied being a housewife on Beaver Creek.

Alverta married Wallace Walter Sears and to the union 4 children were born. She later married Gleason Osceola Lackey and to this union 2 more children were born. On May 20, 1986 at Duncan, OK, she married Fred James Allison, Jr., gaining some bonus kids.

Alverta enjoyed her bowling league days, playing Bingo, going to the casino, sewing, visiting with friends and watching westerns on TV. She Patterson Avenue Baptist Church in Comanche when able.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred, in 2019; an infant son, Ronnie Sears; her son, Roy Sears; her daughter, Donna Seymour; son, Wallace Walter, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Elaine Defate and Nada Gorbet.

Alverta is survived by 4 children, Rose Lewis of Duncan, OK, Pat Rivas of Wichita Falls, TX, Glendal Lackey of Walters, OK and Lisa Lackey of Duncan, OK; her bonus children, Brenda Cifelli of Anniston, AL, Amy Allison of Missouri, Michael Allison and Robert Allison both of Flint, MI; many beloved grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
