Funeral Services at Hart-Wyatt Chapel, Walters, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. Visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday evening.

Angela Jo Smith was born to Jimmy Wayne Sr. and Norma Jean (Williams) Smith on February 22, 1970 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on June 18, 2023 at the age of 53 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Angie grew up in Walters but attended her last few years of school in Duncan, graduating from Duncan High School in 1988. She moved to the Waurika Lake with her parents in 1996 and has since made her home back and forth between Walters and the lake, living life with her siblings. 

Angie loved being the boss and bossing people around. She enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. She loved Garth Brooks, watching the Price is Right, Westerns and the Food Network. She loved coffee in the mornings and would pretend cook an entire meal from her bed. She loved getting her hair and nails done. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Norma Smith.

Angie is survived by 3 siblings, Shelly Russell of Walters, Jimmy Smith of Waurika Lake, Christy & Larry Valdez of Lawton; her nieces and nephews, Lailah Valdez, Holden & Olivia Valdez, Kalen Valdez, Josh & Jessica Russell, John Russell, and Justin Russell & Brianna; her great nieces and nephews, Anastasia, Kinsley, Grayson and Hayzel; her dog, Bella; a special friend, Scarlett Pons; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
